Paul Philippe Cret and Jacques Gréber planned the Parkway to emulate Paris’ Champs-Élysées, and turned mundane Logan Square into the lovely Logan Circle.
Join tour guide Elise Bromberg at the Sisters Cafe on 18th Street at the east side of Logan Circle and hear her tell us about French influence in Philadelphia. Then we'll walk around the Circle with stops at key points to share stories and examples of the French influence on the city.
We'll end with at the Cafe Cret, 110 N. 16th St., where you may choose to buy a cafe et croissant, or something different, to finish our French day.
We expect participants will be vaccinated . We'll walk about a mile.
Elise has led FitC members on several tours in the past, much enjoyed. You may also want to practice your French with her.
You Event Cost: $11 - FitC members only - Refunds available until June 21, less $1.50 FitC refund charge.
Rain date June 29.
