Interested in learning about ASL?
Knowing even a small number of ASL letters can help you communicate with someone deaf. Join in a class of three sessions---but please don't register unless you are able to attend all three.
The class will be taught by an expert: for the past 35+ years, Barbara (Bobbi) Caley, MS, has taught sign language to people of all ages - infants, elementary students, high school students, adults, and grandparents. Her oldest student was 89 years old!
Bobbi has a master’s degree in deaf education and was a teacher of deaf children for ten years. She now works part-time for DeafCAN! a social service agency serving deaf and deaf-blind individuals. In addition, she teaches American Sign Language at Gwynedd Mercy University. Bobbi is deaf from measles she had as a baby.
The 3 sessions will be on Tuesdays, June 7, 14, and 21, from 2-3 pm. Please plan on attending on all 3.
The course is offered by our affiliate, Friends Life Care (FLC) . When you register with FitC, you'll receive the signup link that will take you to the FLC event registration page.
