What we will enjoy: We will do a tasting of their four flagship beers with a Love City Brewing “beer guide.” Participants can then order additional beer, wine, cocktails and snacks on their own tabs. The brewery hosts various food trucks that sell food in the parking lot east of their main building, and they have a limited menu of snacks.
Where: There is an indoor space and a garden; we will meet in the outdoor beer garden just east of the main Love City Brewing building. The building’s address is 1023 Hamilton—-just a few blocks south of Spring Garden Street.
Handicap accessible??: We will be meeting in the beer garden that features gravel and some small steps from level to level. There are no restrooms in the garden, so people would have to cross a cobblestone street to go into the main venue. This venue will be difficult for people with a wheelchair or a walker. The restrooms themselves are handicapped accessible.
Registration deadline: Monday, June 13. Refunds are available until that date, less a $1.50 FitC refund fee.
How many: 16 people maximum
Price: $14, includes beer tasting, tax and gratuity
Parking: There is a parking lot next to the brewery that is not an official parking lot for Love City, but patrons do use it, and there is also street parking on Hamilton and other nearby side streets.
How to get to Love City by public transportation: The easiest trip from Center City is catching Bus #23 (North, of course) at 11th and Market, exiting at 11th and Ridge. After exiting, walk just about a block east to the Brewery’s garden on the corner (the garden is a bit east of their main building, but in the same block). It’s also possible to take the Broad Street Line and exit at Spring Garden, then walk east to 10th and south to the corner of Hamilton and 10th.
