Bounce Back - Mastering the Art of Falling & Recovery

This evidence-based program assures safety and confidence in movement. The principles on which this course was based were designed by the National Council on Aging.

Redefine what it means to stand on your own two feet.

Staying in balance is increasingly important as we age — not only to prevent falls, but also to make us confident that we can walk on uneven surfaces without tripping and change our gait from slow to fast, straight to pivoting.

Developed with the Pilobolus Dance Company, this falls and recovery program is essential for anyone with a history of falls.

Instructor, Judith Sachs, is a Matter of Balance (MOB) certified teacher, a certified Dance for Parkinson's teacher and former competitive martial artist.

Participants in our past offerings said they had become much more aware of their surroundings and had less fear of falling.

If you took the last session of this class, you are welcome to register again to practice techniques and strategies.

Cost: The price for the 6-session series is $76.00*, payable in advance. *Refunds are available until January 14, less a $2 FitC cancellation fee.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations made January 15 or later. This class will only run if there are a minimum of 7 participants. Full refunds will be given if the class does not run.

6 class meetings to begin January 15, 22, 29 and February 5, 19, 26. (No class on February 12.)
