Silk Way is a small Kazakh family restaurant in Queen Village. The restaurant’s name refers to the network of Eurasian routes used by traders until the mid-15th century, and the menu is a celebration of Central Asian cuisines.
Owner Olzhas Karymsakov, has designed a “tasting menu” just for FitC members, who will share a range of dishes. From salads popular in post-Soviet states like Olivier (potatoes, eggs, carrots and brined dill pickles), to dumplings found in Turkish and Armenian cuisines, to kebabs, and dishes like plov (fried-stewed beef, carrots, onion, cumin, rice) we will enjoy nine different items plus dessert, along with complimentary tea and bread.
This restaurant is BYOB if you want to bring your own wine.
