Wood is much more than simply a tool, a banister, or a decorative piece. As a museum, the Museum for Art of Wood shares and embraces wood art as a form of expression. The Museum is recognized as the world-wide leader for contemporary art and creativity in the material of wood.
This hour-long tour is a great chance to be introduced to the museum’s rich history of evolving the world of Wood Art.
The tour covers the temporary exhibition, Katie Hudnall’s show, which engages audiences through moving pieces and a focus on curiosity. We’ll also be exploring the permanent collection, which hosts over one thousand wooden sculptures.
With our tour specialist Vicky Post, we will take a look at the quirky, the thought-provoking, and often inspiring world of wood.
