Please meet up with your fellow FitC members to enjoy a wonderful jazz concert (Philadelphia Clef Club Philharmonic) on the west side of City Hall at Dilworth Plaza, 6-7:00 p.m. followed by chats, drinks and food at the Uptown Beer Garden. Meet new FitC members, reconnect with FitC acquaintances, and share your summer plans and adventures. Some chairs are provided (but no guarantee we will be able to score enough chairs), so if you have a portable chair, please bring it along.
We will meet at 5:45 p.m. at Dilworth Plaza. Look for your fellow FitC members toward the front. We will try to save seats for you, but will release them at 5:55 p.m, so please arrive before then!!
Please note that these concerts are canceled if it rains, but there is often no way of finding out about cancellation in advance (Cheri will notify you, if she finds out). Check the weather carefully before setting out.
A post-concert visit to Uptown Beer Garden across the street (1500 JFK Blvd). Even if the concert is canceled, we could meet at Uptown for a chat—-Cheri will coordinate by email, if there is a rain cancellation of the concert.
Event Limit: 12 FitC Members
Event Cost: There is no registration fee (the concert is free, and then each person will cover his/her own bill at Uptown), but we need to know the number of people participating, so that we can save enough seats.
Accessibility: Dilworth Park provides universal accessibility by bringing the entire site to street level.
Uptown Beer Garden (1500 JFK Blvd) is fully wheelchair accessible. The main entrance off JFK Blvd features flat access, and the inner courtyard provides step-free entry from 16th Street.
