Be in Balance
NEW program assures safety and confidence in movement.
This is a balance and gait class that will help you learn to stand on your own two feet. Balance means being able to stay stable when you are still; gait is using that balance for walking, turning, and movement such as reaching and bending. In this class, you will learn and practice a variety of stances, improve peripheral vision, and correct walking imbalances—forward, sideways, and backwards. These skills are critical and increasingly important as we age—not only to prevent falls, but also to make us confident that we can function on stairs, on uneven surfaces, and even on black ice!

Instructor, Judith Sachs, is a Matter of Balance (MOB) certified teacher, a certified Dance for Parkinson's teacher, and former competitive martial artist.
Cost: The price for the 6-session series is $73.00*, payable in advance. *Refunds are available until September 9, less a $2 FitC cancellation fee.
