Join FitC Member Barry Lurie--a Volunteer National Park Service Master Ranger and American History Interpreter--and learn more about the guiding principles of American democracy.
He'll lead us on a special 10:00 am tour of Independence Hall, followed by a tour of Congress Hall, the Capitol Building of the USA from 1790-1800. Stay with the group for another 10 minutes and you'll visit the Liberty Bell.
You'll learn more about these places than you've ever known. Come away with a better understanding of how our country was formed and what the founders and framers had in mind for the future.
Limit: 20 FitC members
Cost: No cost. Independence Historical Park can't charge, and commercial tour leaders aren't allowed to give tours.
Accessibility: Staircase to the 2nd floor of Congress Hall.
Directions: Go to the southwest corner of 5th and Chestnut and enter Independence Square through the red security tent. Once through security follow the signage for the Independence Hall tour, where we'll meet Barry. Arrive at 9:30 am to ensure you can get through security in time.
