The Lancaster brewery Our Town recently opened a satellite location in the Francisville neighborhood of Philadelphia. From the website: “Rob Tarves and Rob Patz began dreaming up their vision for Our Town Brewery while home brewing during college at Penn State. Their time at multiple breweries over the years has driven home the theme that breweries are huge parts of the communities that they operate in.” They offer a dozen beers on draft along with cider, wine and canned cocktail options. Beers on tap may include: Earth Angel (stout), Broad Strokes (double IPA), and Words of Wisdom (Vienna lager), though the beer offerings change frequently. The space is roomy, bright and, in warm weather, opens out onto tables on the sidewalk in front of the establishment.
There is no food at this brewery/taproom, but there are some promising pizza/hoagie shops nearby. You can bring food along, or order food for delivery. Examples of nearby restaurants: Zuzu’s Kitchen (1500 Ridge), Santucci’s Original Square Pizza (655 N. Broad), John’s Place (1529 Spring Garden), and Love Park Pizza and Chicken Halal (1402 Ridge).
Event Cost: $13 per person ($12 deposit for beer + $1 FitC fee). PLEASE REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT BEFORE THE DEADLINE, SINCE SPACE IS LIMITED. Deadline for registration, cancellation with refund (less $1.50 FitC Refund Fee), and receipt of your check (if you are not paying online): April 4, 2024.

A) From Broad and Arch, take Bus #4 (Fern Rock) to Broad and Ridge. Walk .2 mile northwest to 1519 Ridge.
B) Take the Broad Street Line north to the Fairmount Stop. Walk .2 mile northwest to 1519 Ridge.
C) Walk from Center City, north on Broad to Ridge, then walk northwest to 1519 Ridge.

Metered street parking is available on Ridge and on nearby streets, though not always easy to find.
