Join other FitC members to learn about our fall risk and how we can avoid them.

Dr. Woei-Nan Bair, from the physical therapy department at Saint Joseph’s University (formerly Univ of the Sciences) will help you:

 Identify environmental factors related to falls.

 Learn what personal factors to work on to prevent falls.

 Learn some exercises to reduce fall risk.

Her research focuses on two fundamental motor functions (i.e., posture and gait) across the lifespan, and interventions for related dysfunctions such as falls. She'll tell us about her department’s ongoing study of fall assessment, particularly for seniors. Volunteers in their study will take walking and balance tests, learn about their physical abilities, and if they, wish, share the results with their primary care physician.

Click here to see Dr. Bair's research publications.

You'll receive the Zoom link one day before the presentation.

FitC members only.

Thanks to FitC volunteer Tom Bowen for organizing this event.
