Congregation Rodeph Shalom, is an historic Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue, established in 1795 and is the oldest Ashkenazic synagogue in the Western Hemisphere.
Relatively late in its history, the congregation finally built its first building in 1866, a Moorish Revival sanctuary on North Broad Street designed by Philadelphia architect Frank Furness.
The Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art, located within Rodeph Shalom is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art that illuminates the Jewish experience.
Note: The tour guide will meet us at the entrance at 1339 Green St.

Directions/Parking: Rodeph Shalom can be reached by public transportation. The adjacent parking lot is available for our members.
