Meet up with FitC members to explore the Mutter Museum of anatomy and medical history in Philadelphia. Named for Dr. Thomas Dent Mütter, MD (1811 – 1859), a physician and professor who bequeathed his teaching collection of more than 1,700 objects and specimens to the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the Museum now boasts more than 25,000 fascinating items. . Learn about recent changes including a new focus on the medical context of the displays.
Event Cost:
FitC Members: $13 ($12 Admission plus $1 FitC Fee).
Non-FitC Members:$18.
Refunds available until October 12 (less $2.00 FitC Refund Fee).
Event Limit: Up to 20 people.
Parking, if you drive: Two paid lots are directly next to and behind the building. There is also metered on-street parking on most of the streets surrounding the Museum.
Accessibility: The Museum is wheelchair accessible at the east entrance of the building, on Van Pelt Street (which runs directly behind the Museum, parallel to 21st and 22nd Streets). There is elevator access to the galleries.
