FitC members are invited to join a series of delicious meetings at city brunch spots. The purpose of these meetings is socializing: To get acquainted with new FitC members and to enjoy seeing your old FitC friends regularly. These brunch spots are located all over the city, so that we can visit or revisit a wide variety of neighborhoods.
“Healthy. Sustainable. Soul satisfying. Serving breakfast every day starting at 8am,…..Front Street Cafe strives to offer the highest quality foods possible and utilizes local plant-based, farm-to-table, and organic ingredients whenever available.” This is a very cozy and inviting spot—-described by Zagat as a “roomy, industrial-chic New American cafe"—on a rapidly developing section of Front Street in Northern Liberties, where new restaurants, bars, and breweries seem to be popping up every day.
Event Limit: 8 FitC Members
Event Cost: $16 total (15 that will be returned for you to put toward your bill + $1 FitC fee). Deadline for registering and paying, canceling with refund, or receiving your check, if you don’t pay online: March 10, 2026.
We are not be able to get separate checks, so please bring cash in small bills to supplement your $15 when paying your bill. The restaurant will add a 20% gratuity to your bill (typical practice for large parties); you are welcome to add more to that tip amount, if we have great service.
Accessibility: There are several steps leading up to the entrance to the Front Street Cafe, but there are no wheelchair or walker obstacles inside the cafe.
Parking/Transportation: The Front Street Cafe is located at 1253 N. Front Street, at the corner of Front and West Thompson Streets. Street parking can be challenging to find near this establishment (though there is a paid parking lot 1/2 block north of the cafe). Public transportation is a good option.
a) Take the Market-Frankford El (L1) east to the Girard Station. When you exit the station (on Front), walk north one block to the cafe, on the SE corner of N. Front and W. Thompson Streets.
b) Take Bus #57 north from 3rd and Market Streets to the Thompson stop. Walk east 7 minutes on W. Thompson to the corner of W. Thompson and Front Streets. The cafe is on the SE corner of N. Front and W. Thompson.
c) From Columbus Blvd. and Penn’s Landing take Bus #25 north to Frankford and Thompson. Walk 2 minutes west on Thompson to the corner of N. Front and W. Thompson.
