Taste some yummy ciders when we meet at Pip’s Cider Bar (6-7-ish) before we cross Lee Street for a delicious pizza pie or two at Pizzeria Beddia (7:15-8:30ish). Please note that if you sign up, you are reserving for both the cidery and the pizzeria.
Our two venues: The cozy and welcoming Pip’s Cider Bar has been open less than a year, serving award-winning Ploughman Cider from Adams County; the cidery was recently recognized for excellence by the Cider Guild of PA. They serve various refreshing ciders from up to13 rotating taps and guest ciders, along with house cocktails, espresso martinis, and local craft beer.
Pizza Beddia (from their website) “Pizzeria Beddia opened in Philadelphia in 2013 as a very small, standing-room-only pizza shop, with Joe Beddia behind the counter and a short list of pies. The idea was simple: Make good pizza, do it the same way every day, and see what happens. In 2015, it was named Best Pizza in America by Bon Appetit, which changed a few things, but not the approach. Today, Pizzeria Beddia is located in Fishtown and serves pizza, tomato pie, seasonal dishes, and wine in a relaxed, lively space. Ingredients are sourced thoughtfully, with an emphasis on local producers when possible, and handled simply so they can speak for themselves.”
Event Limit: 6 FitC members (Beddia caps reservations at 6.)
Event Cost: $21 total per person (this includes $10 that will be returned to you on the day of the visit to Pip’s and $10 that will be returned to you at Beddia + $1 FitC fee). Deadline for registration and payment, cancellation with refund, and receipt of your check (if you are not paying online): September 1, 2026.
Note: Please bring cash to cover your tabs at Pip’s and Beddia, since it might be hard to get separate checks.
Accessibility: The cidery and the pizzeria are walker and wheelchair accessible.
Public Transportation: The cidery and the pizzeria are both located on tiny N. Lee Street in Fishtown.
A) Take the Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line. L1) east to the Girard Station. Walk north on N. Front Street one full block to W. Thompson, and make a right (at the Front Street Cafe); walk to the next small street and make a left onto Lee. Pip’s is halfway up the block, on your right.
