Penn Vet’s Working Dog Center aims to advance research and the application of the newest scientific findings and veterinary expertise to optimize the performance of scent detection dogs. Inspired by the search and rescue dogs that responded following the attacks on 9/11, and having opened on September 11, 2012, we serve as a national research and development center for detection dogs. See firsthand what it takes to train our nation’s leading detection dogs. Watch as the Working Dog Center staff explains the step-by-step process of preparing a dog to serve in explosive detection, search & rescue, cancer detection, and more. Dogs graduate and go on to careers in Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, and research projects.

Event Limit:  8 registrants

Event Cost: This is a FREE event, but we ask that registrants bring a check for a donation to Penn Vet Working Dog Center or click here to  Donate to the Working Dog Center Fund
