Unmask Your Creative Self & Make
a Theater Mask
Barbara Gregson will conduct a 2-day mask-making
workshop. The dates will be Thursday, October 22 from 10 AM - 2 PM and Thursday, October 29 from 10 AM - 2 PM noon.
During this 2-day workshop, you will learn the ancient mask-making tradition based upon the commedia dell'arte tradition of the Italian Renaissance.
Day 1: You will make a cast of your face and a papier-mâché mask and/or wall hanging. Barbara will take your masks to dry them for next week. After a lunch break, the group will develop short improvisations using Barbara’s masks to learn
how to tell a story.
Day 2: Showcase! (invite a friend). You will paint your mask and perform your theatre vignettes using Barbara’s and your masks.

Event Cost: $ 35.00, for members. Members may register 1 guest, for $40.00
Deadline for registration: October 20, 2026. Payment may be made online or by check. If you pay by check, please ensure it is received on or before this deadline. While no registrations can be taken after the deadline, you may be able to join a waitlist.
LOCATION
Entrance - 17 Letitia Street
NOTE: There is no sign designating the name of the building. Look for 17 Letitia Street for the entrance, 1/2 block below Market Street between 2nd and Front.
Accessibility: To get to the accessible entrance from the street, when you arrive, call the concierge at 215-574-7691 to help you to the elevator.
Parking/Transportation: If you drive, there is limited street parking on Letitia Street. Metered parking is available on Front St., usually with spaces. There is also a small pay lot in the rear of the building.
--By public transit: 22 S. Front Street is located a half block south of Market Street, between 2nd and Front St. The 17 and 48 buses and the Market-Frankford Line conveniently stop at 2nd & Market Streets. Check with SEPTA at Schedules – Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority

Cancellation/Refund policy - Last day to cancel with refund is October 20, 2026, (less $2 FitC Refund fee). If you cancel after October 20, 2026, no refund will be issued.
