Come see one of the "great wonders of the Masonic World."  In 1873 the New York Times described it as "the largest, costliest, and most magnificent structure consecrated to Masonry in the World."

While the history of the fraternal order is shrouded in mystery, it is known that during Philadelphia's early days it was a safe place to discuss hot or controversial topics; hence, both Ben Franklin and George Washington were members. Later, in the time when this structure was built, it was a place to be seen and network. These days, it's a site for us to marvel at.

The tour will be about an hour, and will give you a chance to see and understand the highly decorated meeting rooms.

Event Limit: 15 FitC Members

Event Cost: $11 (includes $1 FitC Fee). To cancel, contact Linda Pizzi (lindapizzi55@gmail.com) for refunds (less $2 FitC service charge); no refunds after July 30th.

AccessibilityThe Masonic Temple in Philadelphia is fully accessible for visitors with disabilities. The historic building features accessible ramps at the main entrance, elevators and chair lifts for navigating the upper and lower floors.

Directions/Transportation: The site is easily accessed by the Market Street and Market Frankford Lines; get off at City Hall. Buses going up and down Market, JFK and Broad Street pass near the Temple.
