Let’s visit one of the five Green Eggs Cafés in Philadelphia, at 1301 Locust, serving breakfast, lunch and brunch daily. The Green Eggs franchise was founded in 2010, when the first site opened at the corner of Clarion and Dickinson in South Philadelphia. What to savor at GEC, along with scintillating conversation with some of the most charming, bright-eyed fellow FitC members? How about red velvet pancakes? A fried chicken or a guacamole & pepper Benedict? Or French toast varieties, such as Créme Brûlée, pecan pie, cookie dough, cinnamon bun, or peach cobbler? Or go all out with shrimp and grits? Throw caution to the wind, and live it up! Bulk up in preparation for a cold winter…
Event Limit: 6 FitC members. Green Eggs Café doesn’t take reservations, but they have assured us that there is rarely a wait during the week. Bring your patience, along with your appetite.
Event Cost: $21 total per person (this includes $20 that will be returned to you at the restaurant at the time of paying the bill + $1 FitC fee). Deadline for registration and payment, cancellation with refund, and receipt of your check (if you are not paying online): October 15, 2026.
The restaurant is CASH ONLY. Cash in small bills will also come in handy, since we probably will not be able to get separate checks. Polish your math skills before attending this event.
Accessibility: Depending on the room where we are seated, there may be one step up to the restroom, Otherwise, this spot is wheelchair and walker accessible.
