Please meet up with your fellow FitC members for chats, drinks and food at the recently opened Garden at City Tavern. Meet new FitC members, reconnect with FitC acquaintances, and share your summer plans and adventures. Try some lawn games?

Inspired by one of America’s most famous 18th-century taverns, The Garden reintroduces that communal spirit for locals and visitors during America’s 250th anniversary year.”
Try some Patriots’ Punch or Liberty Lemonade canned cocktails. Or how about a chili margarita cocktail, along with various snacks such as hummus, cheddar spread, Bavarian pretzel and pickle bites?
We will meet at 4:00 in the garden. Look for your fellow senior citizens (gray hair and smiles). This is a small space, so it will be easy to find us!
Event Limit: 12 FitC members
Event Fee: Free. Please register by the deadline, July 24. There is no registration fee (each person will cover his/her own bill), but we need to know the number of people participating, so that we can save enough seats.
Accessibility: This site is wheelchair and walker accessible.
Transportation:
a) Take the #21 or #42 bus east on Chestnut to 2nd & Chestnut Streets. Walk south 1/2 block to the Garden (between Chestnut & Walnut). OR exit at 2nd and Walnut and walk north to the Garden.
b) Take the El (L1) to 2nd & Market Streets, then walk south on 2nd to the Garden (between Chestnut & Walnut).
