Please meet up with your fellow FitC members for chats, drinks and food at the memorable Bok Bar in South Philadelphia. From the Bok Bar website: “What was once a crazy, pop-up experiment is now our annual summertime ritual. We’ve spent the last 11 years experimenting and evolving. We can proudly say that today we are more than just a bar.”
Meet new FitC members, reconnect with FitC acquaintances, and share your summer plans and adventures. Enjoy a gorgeous panorama of our favorite city. If it is raining, the Bok Bar may close. Check the weather forecast before setting out; Cheri will try to notify you, if she hears that the bar is closed.
We will meet at 5:00 at the rooftop garden. Look for your fellow senior citizens (gray hair and smiles). This is a fairly small space, so it will be easy to find us! The bar can be crowded, but we’ll do our best to find several tables together (but no guarantees).
Event Limit: 12 FitC Members
Event Fee: There is no registration fee (each person will cover his/her own bill), but we need to know the number of people participating, so that we can save enough seats. Please register by the deadline, August 5.
Accessibility: ADA entrance is located on Mifflin Street closer to 9th Street (loading dock). Once you enter the Bok Building, stand in line to take the elevator to the top. Be sure to stand in the line for the Bok Bar and not for Irwin’s, a restaurant across from the Bok Bar.
Parking/Transportation:
Parking is VERY, VERY difficult near the Bok Building.
a) Take Bus #47 from 8th and Market, south to 8th and Mifflin.
b) For other options consult:

If you register, and then must cancel, please be considerate and notify Cheri Micheau at least three hours before the event (phoebejack1@verizon.net)---not Heather Speirs or Bobbi Cohen.
Thanks to FitC Volunteer Cheri Micheau for organizing this event.
